Bloggerconf 2016..What a day!!

Firstly I want to say...What a day! As you know my journey to the BloggerConf started at 4am on the Saturday. I must say if I had someone with me it would have made the journey quicker. So off in went to the Marker Hotel and arrived to a busy foyer and it wasn't even 8am! I got my wrist band and amazing goody bag. A lot of you have seen it on my Snapchat and yes I loved it! The event was sold out and there was 300 people eager to learn on the day. There was so many good points to the day so I'm going to just give you my top three as I would be writing for days otherwise!
My first pick is the talk from  Pedro Carvalho and Jenny Quigley Jones from YouTube about the 10 Fundamentals of a Creative Strategy.
1. Shareability
2.Conversation
3.Interactivity
4.Consistency
5.Targeting
6.Sustainability
7.Discoverability
8.Accessability
9. Collaboration
10. Inspiration
This is your guide to helping you think of ideas and make up new content for for youtube channel or to help you start your own. Jenny explained that you don't have to use all of these but a mixture of a few would help keep and get you loyal fans.
The one point I took away was about Shareability. You need to be topical, be valuable and be remarkable! We are all capable of showing our ability and our talent. So go do it..what's stopping you??

My second pick is the wonderful and totally inspiring Sinéad Burke or as most people know her as Minnie Melange. She describes herself as an extremely proud little person. She had met the most inspiring women of our generation and has interviewed the like of Saoirse Ronan and Paul Costelloe in her "Minnie Meets" series and "Extraordinary Women" series. Check out her site here Minnie Melange. I was blown away by her confidence and her fun way she approaches life. I some times take life and my work way too seriously and hearing Sinéads story I'm now looking at life differently and living life the way it should,by living it! As everyone know my moto in life is #yolo so now is the time to do it. Thanks Sinéad for opening my eyes to a bigger world and hopefully one day will get to interview you as you have now become my inspiration.

My final pick is Suzy Griffin who is the media coordinator for RTE TV and she spoke on the role of Snapchat in Broadcast Media. She talked about  in the moment content and using Snapchat to grow your followers by integrating it into your other social channels. As Suzy said herself Snapchat is like being in front of a camera so you could get a phone call and you could be the next Ryan Tubridy presenting the Late Late Show! I can only dream..My goal is to report from all the exclusive events so I'm looking at the Cannes Festival next year or maybe The Oscars and Leonardo Dicaprios after party! Dream big they say! So why not! I'm still getting used to Snapchat but loving it. My usercode is mylifetheevent so follow me for all the behind the scenes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this year's BloggerConf and I must say it is getting better and better and all thanks to the beautiful Emma O'Farrell. She has brought the conference from strength to strength and I look forward to November for the next one. I will be staying the night before so the journey isn't as tiring. Check out my Facebook page this evening as I'm announcing the winners for my Stella and Dot competition and launching a new competition on Monday. It's all go just the way I like it!
Remember peeps #yolo
Love
Patricia xx
