Bloggerconf 2016..What a day!!

Firstly I want to say...What a day! As you know my journey to the BloggerConf started at 4am on the Saturday. I must say if I had someone with me it would have made the journey quicker. So off in went to the Marker Hotel and arrived to a busy foyer and it wasn't even 8am! I got my wrist band and amazing goody bag. A lot of you have seen it on my Snapchat and yes I loved it! The event was sold out and there was 300 people eager to learn on the day. There was so many good points to the day so I'm going to just give you my top three as I would be writing for days otherwise!
My first pick is the talk from  Pedro Carvalho and Jenny Quigley Jones from YouTube about the 10 Fundamentals of a Creative Strategy.
1. Shareability
2.Conversation
3.Interactivity
4.Consistency
5.Targeting
6.Sustainability
7.Discoverability
8.Accessability
9. Collaboration
10. Inspiration
This is your guide to helping you think of ideas and make up new content for for youtube channel or to help you start your own. Jenny explained that you don't have to use all of these but a mixture of a few would help keep and get you loyal fans.
The one point I took away was about Shareability. You need to be topical, be valuable and be remarkable! We are all capable of showing our ability and our talent. So go do it..what's stopping you??

My second pick is the wonderful and totally inspiring Sinéad Burke or as most people know her as Minnie Melange. She describes herself as an extremely proud little person. She had met the most inspiring women of our generation and has interviewed the like of Saoirse Ronan and Paul Costelloe in her "Minnie Meets" series and "Extraordinary Women" series. Check out her site here Minnie Melange. I was blown away by her confidence and her fun way she approaches life. I some times take life and my work way too seriously and hearing Sinéads story I'm now looking at life differently and living life the way it should,by living it! As everyone know my moto in life is #yolo so now is the time to do it. Thanks Sinéad for opening my eyes to a bigger world and hopefully one day will get to interview you as you have now become my inspiration.

My final pick is Suzy Griffin who is the media coordinator for RTE TV and she spoke on the role of Snapchat in Broadcast Media. She talked about  in the moment content and using Snapchat to grow your followers by integrating it into your other social channels. As Suzy said herself Snapchat is like being in front of a camera so you could get a phone call and you could be the next Ryan Tubridy presenting the Late Late Show! I can only dream..My goal is to report from all the exclusive events so I'm looking at the Cannes Festival next year or maybe The Oscars and Leonardo Dicaprios after party! Dream big they say! So why not! I'm still getting used to Snapchat but loving it. My usercode is mylifetheevent so follow me for all the behind the scenes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this year's BloggerConf and I must say it is getting better and better and all thanks to the beautiful Emma O'Farrell. She has brought the conference from strength to strength and I look forward to November for the next one. I will be staying the night before so the journey isn't as tiring. Check out my Facebook page this evening as I'm announcing the winners for my Stella and Dot competition and launching a new competition on Monday. It's all go just the way I like it!
Remember peeps #yolo

BloggerConf 2016 countdown has begun!

Hey guys and girls!
I'm heading up to the big smoke on Saturday at early O' clock for the BloggerConf 2016. I loved this conference last year as it gave me the push I needed to start my blog. I must say it is a long day but the speakers at this year's conference make up for it! Emma sent out a rundown of the day and has been extremely accommodating to those travelling from all corners of Ireland.  This year YouTube are speaking hence the early start to fit them in. My Great Limerick Run Journey

So my journey to the Great Limerick Run began in January when I started my training with Leanne Moore. I must say I never enjoyed the gym and I still don't! If I'm honest I will no the going back anytime soon. I enjoy being outside and prefer fresh air than the stink of sweat around me! I decided to do the run for Clare's Wish Foundation as Kevin approached me through my blog. I read his beautiful story as to why he set up the foundation and I agreed to help in anyway I could. We all met up at the beginning to get a photo of the new tech t-shirt sponsored by The Texas Steakout.
I was so impressed with Jackie and her sister who put Kevin and myself to shame by running off ahead of us and finishing 10 minutes before us! I'm so proud of myself for pushing myself to do things I would normally never do. As you all know my moto in life is #yolo and we only have one life so live it! Go out and enjoy life and push yourself because life is short!
I want to thank everyone who has supported me on the day and to all my friends who were cheering me on at the finish. My hubby Richard and my little man Ronan who were screaming me on at the end and met me with open arms at the finish line. Love you all to bits and here's to my next adventure!
What will it be...
Love Patricia xx
